Food & Beverage
Around 40% of the Egyptians income is spent on food and beverages. So it’s no surprise that F&B sales across the country are still growing in the land of Pharaohs. According to expert predictions, the compound annual growth rate for food and beverage sales will hit 14.3% and 18.4%, respectively, by 2017.
Popular trends include the increasing prevalence of packaged and processed foods, such as confectioneries made by international giants Unilever, Nestle, Mars and Cadbury. While dairy is still a burgeoning sector of the market, it too is finding its foothold as producers like; Dina Farms innovate and bring more and more fresh dairy products, including milk and cheese, to grocery stores.
