MEAComS project has been recognized by the distinguished Jury as one of the most outstanding PR and communications cases in Africa over the last year
Cairo, 10 July 2017: During the Awards ceremony of the African Excellence Awards 2017, twenty-six winners from nine countries, presented their cases to an intrigued audience at a special ceremony that took place on Thursday, 29 June 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa. After this unique knowledge exchange, celebrations continued with the ‘Winners Dinner’, where the winners were presented with their trophy.
26 categories, tapping into various aspects of Public Relations such as ‘Agency of the Year’, ‘PR Professional of the year’ to ‘Content Marketing’ and ‘Social Media’, were open for applications. More than 2,500 applications were submitted worldwide. Amongst the proud winners in Africa were top agencies like Edelman, We Communications, Weber-Shandwick, Burson-Marsteller and prominent companies like Intel, Unilever, Nike, NBCUniversal and many more.
Fatma El Zahraa Ahmed, Founder and Managing Director of MEAComS, says she is ecstatic and proud to represent Egypt at the African Excellence Awards this year as MEAComS heads towards a decade of dedication and hard work in the Public Relations and Communications industry in Egypt.
Ms. Ahmed stated that ‘the award celebrates our annual external newsletter that details our work, passion, struggles and successes that we share with our clients and followers via digital media.’ She thanked her long-time friend and art director, Hana Ibrahim, for being a vital power source behind this win with her dedication to not only her work but all the branding and design work that she has been doing for MEAComS over the past decade. She also added that “This decade long relationship with Hana Ibrahim has been a fundamental nod towards women working to empower other women and we hope to continue this as we move forward with our successes.”
MEAComS were also the proud winners of an African Excellence Award last year for their corporate video that celebrated their 7 years in business through an interactive video that was shared across the digital platforms. Having a great team and the clients that MEAComS works with has been the foundation of this win. MEAComS has many renowned companies in their repertoire such as Shell Lubricants Egypt, Blumberg, Cambridge, and Lagardere Sports.
The European Excellence Awards, created in 2007, honour the most outstanding achievements of the Public Relations and Human Resources professionals in their field. Likewise, the African Excellence Awards’ aim is bringing together some of Africa’s leading communications firms all vying a grand prize and recognition from their peers. Today, after expanding globally, the awards run concurrently in five regions worldwide.
