The awards are in recognition of MEAComS’ outstanding PR efforts in organizing the ceremony honoring actor Yehya Al-Fakharani and the inauguration of GSK Consumer Healthcare Voltaren Emulgel’s production line
Cairo9 September 2020: The winners of the Lisbon PR Awards 2019-2020 have been announced in an online video where leading experts in the public relations industry shared their views on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the PR industry.
The competition announced MEAComS, one of the pioneering companies in the field of public relations in Egypt, as one of the winners with two bronze awards in the event category. The awards were for PR projects at the 2020 Abu Dhabi Festival for Arts and Culture held at the Cairo Opera House in January 2020 and which paid tribute to veteran Egyptian actor and theatrical producer Dr. Yehya Al-Fakharani for his lifetime dedication to Arab theatre, cinema and television, as well as GSK Consumer Healthcare Voltaren Emulgel production line inauguration in June 2019. The inauguration signified LE100 million by GSK Consumer Healthcare to upgrade the factory’s semi-solid production line to the very-highest standards, now capable of producing the latest in semi-solid pain-management medication.

The award winners were announced, earlier this month, on the competition’s official Facebook page. Multiple contestants participated from across the globe. The jury was made up of an international committee which was divided into a major jury committee and an executive committee. The competition comprised 10 categories, namely employee communication, institutional image, integrated marketing, digital and mobile, media relations, word of mouth, events, product of service launch, product or service promotion, brand activation.
Lisbon PR Awards is an international festival organized by the Lisbon Awards Group launched in 2013 as the first international group of marketing and advertising festivals based in Portugal. It specifically targets the public relations industry with the aim of rewarding the best works and agencies that work in the field of communications with the goal of brand awareness. Other competitions in this group are the Lisbon International Advertising Festival, the Lisbon International Health Festival and the Prémios Lusófonos da Criatividade.
It quickly gained a worldwide dimension, being today responsible for six of the most important advertising awards in the world. Its internationally recognized for its innovative character and counts with the submission of the works of the most important agencies, brands and producers of the advertising world.
